Terms of Use
These terms cover your use of focalslate.com, the Focalslate app, and Focalslate Premium. By using them you agree to these terms.
Who we are
Focalslate is operated by Cary Miller, doing business as MillersCraft (“we”, “us”). Contact: support@focalslate.com.
Standard and Premium
- Focalslate Standard is free to use.
- Focalslate Premium is a one-time purchase made through Gumroad. It is not a subscription.
Premium licenses
- One license covers one person. That person may use Premium on any of their own devices and browsers.
- Organizations buy one license per person. A purchase for a quantity, for example 100, covers that many people in the buying organization. The organization may give the license key from that purchase to each of those people.
- Licenses can be reassigned. An organization may move a license from one person to another, for example when someone leaves. It may not have more people using Premium at once than the number of licenses it bought.
- Keys stay with the buyer. License keys are for you or your organization only. Please don’t publish them, share them outside your organization, or resell them.
- Volume purchases: for quotes, invoices or purchase orders, email support@focalslate.com.
Refunds
Premium comes with a 30-day refund guarantee. Ask through your Gumroad receipt or email support@focalslate.com within 30 days of purchase.
Your data
Your data belongs to you and stays in the file or browser storage you choose. Because we never hold a copy, we cannot restore lost data. You are responsible for keeping backups, for example by storing your file in a synced cloud folder.
Acceptable use
Don’t use Focalslate to break the law, don’t try to disrupt or attack focalslate.com, and don’t try to get around the Premium license check.
Changes to the app
We improve Focalslate over time and may change or remove features. Updates are listed in the app under Settings → What’s new.
No warranty
Focalslate is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent the law allows.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data or profits. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for Focalslate Premium.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The effective date above shows the current version. Continuing to use Focalslate after a change means you accept the updated terms.
